The American pit bull terrier's face was lovingly touched by another dog in the video. "Maybe a Sunday blessing will help," said the post's caption.
UKC, the worldwide performance-dog registry, American pit bull terriers are "ready to please and bursting over with enthusiasm," notwithstanding the current viral video's moodiness.
"The main features of the American Pit Bull Terrier are strength, confidence, and passion for life," says the UKC.
A study published in April 2019 in the peer-reviewed Journal of Research in Personality found that dogs, like people, can have varied moods depending on their personalities, which can vary over time.
"When persons go through huge transitions in life, their personality features can change," said research lead author William Chopik, a psychology professor.
"Because they don't have wild lifestyle changes like humans do, we thought the dogs' personalities to be rather stable, but they actually fluctuate a lot.
